Brighton rocks! We’re all very familiar with Brighton’s Rocks. The famous candy, the rock and roll vibe of the city, the classic novel by Graham Greene…
And perhaps the most famous of all Brighton’s rocks, the pebbles along the beach that frame its coastline.
Inspired by the patterning, texture and shapes found on these pebbles’ surfaces, Brighton based artist, Ray Gibson, creates a character on each unique pebble, drawn in colour inks, acrylics and decoupage.
Each piece starts with a detailed examination of the pebble's surface and ends with Ray drawing out its unique character.
