What an AI consultant actually does
The label "AI consultant" gets used loosely. Most are technologists explaining what AI could do. We do the work.
For brands working with us, that means three things:
- Strategy — auditing where AI fits into your marketing, content, and creative production pipeline (and where it doesn't yet)
- Production — delivering finished assets: AI product photography, custom artwork, ad creative, video, brand visuals
- Implementation — embedding AI tools into your existing workflow so your team owns the capability after we leave
We are not a software vendor. We are an art director-led studio that uses AI as a production tool the way a traditional studio uses cameras, lighting, and edit suites.
We bill for output. Most projects deliver in days, not weeks.
Who we work with
Our clients are brands, founders, and creative directors who need premium output and don't have time to wait six weeks for a traditional shoot or campaign cycle.
Recent work includes commercial photography for fashion and homeware brands, AI ad creative for DTC ecommerce, custom artwork for hospitality, and brand films for product launches. We work at the premium end of the market — our pricing and process reflect that.
We are based in Brighton and work with clients across Sussex, London, and remotely worldwide.

Why Brighton
Brighton has one of the highest concentrations of independent creative talent in the UK and a long history of design, advertising, and digital innovation. The city has produced some of the country's most influential design and animation studios, and remains the UK's largest creative cluster outside London.
It is where Pixel Gallery was founded in 2020, and where our studio is based today.
Working with a Brighton-based AI consultant means access to the city's creative community while staying lean and fast.
How to work with us
The simplest first step is a discovery call. We will talk through what you are trying to produce, where AI fits (and where it does not), and whether we are the right team for the brief.
Most engagements begin within a week of the first call. We do not run pitches, do not bill for proposal time, and do not work on retainers we cannot justify.
Frequently asked questions
What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant helps a business use artificial intelligence tools effectively. At Pixel Gallery, this means applying AI to creative production — photography, video, advertising, and brand content — and delivering finished, brand-aligned output. We combine strategic input with hands-on production.
How is this different from hiring a traditional agency?
Traditional agencies bill for hours, retainers, and overhead. We bill for output. Most projects deliver in days, not weeks, because AI compresses the production cycle. The strategic and art direction work is identical to what a senior creative team would deliver — the speed and economics are not.
Do you only work with Brighton businesses?
No. We are based in Brighton but work with clients across the UK and internationally. Local clients have the option of in-person meetings; remote clients work with us the same way they would with any creative partner. Our process is built for both.
What is the typical project budget?
Single creative projects start from £750. Most engagements range £2,000–£15,000 depending on scope.
Can you train our in-house team to use AI?
Yes. Many of our clients want to bring AI capability in-house. We run training and implementation engagements where we set up the workflow, train your team, and stay on retainer for strategic input and quality control.
What AI tools do you use?
We use a combination of generative AI models for image and video, custom-trained models, and traditional production tools (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects). The right tool depends on the brief — we choose based on output quality, not novelty.
